Bilal Akram is a Birmingham-based, British Azad-Kashmiri performance poet, fiction writer and multidisciplinary creative who holds a BA in English and most recently an MA in Creative Writing.


His work explores social change, cultural identity, mental health and masculinity, lyrically inspired by hip hop and rap music and artists such as Black Thought.


He has headlined, hosted, and been commissioned by arts organisations across England and runs a weekly newsletter (The Writer’s Psyche) inspiring creatives and artists to pursue and master their craft while balancing their well-being and health.
