Leilani is a Brooklyn based spoken word + theatre artist originally from Honolulu who has devoted her life to "changing the world one story at a time". She is a strong believer in spoken word being a wonderful outlet for social change, education and growth. She often writes about her Japanese/Korean/Mixed identities as well as creating imaginative social commentary on issues that she is passionate about. One of her most recent poems being about the Lahaina wildfires as she works hard to fundraise for survivors of the devastation. She has big dreams of traveling around the world, further educating herself and writing about all of her adventures soon.
