Jackie "The Poetic Therapist", is a Bronx-raised multidimensional artist—poet, writer, lyricist, educator, social worker, and mother—whose work lives at the intersection of hip-hop, healing, and humanity. Her words move with love, wisdom, resilience, and truth.

Raised on classical soul and ‘90s hip-hop & R&B, Jackie writes with intention—weaving life’s complexities into verse, letting her poetry rap as her words become the beat. Her work amplifies marginalized identities and tackles what most avoid: mental health, education, Black culture, systemic oppression, and the realities of survival with dignity. Her style is witty, vulnerable, fierce, and therapeutic, offering truth that heals and challenges in the same breath.

As a scholar of Early Childhood Education, Developmental Psychology, and Clinical Social Work, Jackie channels her professional roots into her artistry. She serves NYC as an independent health and wellness consultant supporting marginalized youth, families, and the city’s aging senior community. She is the founder and curator of Empower Hour with Jackie, a holistic intergenerational wellness program that uses poetry, music, and conversation to nurture emotional growth, build self-love, and enhance the overall quality of health and wellbeing for all.

Fueled by the therapy she found in books, music, and poetry, Jackie amplifies marginalized stories—unpacking mental health, systemic oppression, and the realities of being Black, brilliant, and striving toward liberation while thriving beyond survival. She writes with realism, wit, and harmonic flow—where every poem is a prayer, a punchline, and a push toward empowerment.

Her motto: God first. Stay true. Stand proud. And dream beyond the limits of reality.
