Kaliah the Light is a multidisciplinary artist based in Las Vegas Nevada. Her work primarily concerns  themes of motherhood, bodily autonomy, Black womanhood, and self-love. 

Kaliah has performed on various stages from the west to the east coast and has competed in local, regional, and international poetry slams from Las Vegas to Albuquerque to Baltimore. She is a 2024 Chicharra Poetry Slam Festival Finalist, one of the top 80 poets in the 2024 Womxn of the World Poetry Slam, and the 2024 Utah Arts Fest Underground poetry slam champion. Kaliah’s performances are characterized by bold declarations of sovereignty and sensuality as well as descriptions of the safety and softness she’s found in motherhood and healing generational trauma.You can find Kaliah the Light on Instagram at @KaliahtheLight.
