Kiirstin Marilyn is a New York City–based alt-pop singer-songwriter, actor, and activist with a lifelong history as a performer. A member of the Estonian diaspora, she is the daughter and granddaughter of Estonian refugees and Croatian immigrants, a lineage shaped by displacement, survival, and resistance that deeply informs her worldview. Raised with an acute awareness of injustice, Kiirstin’s early immersion in music, theater, and live performance eventually converged with activism, leading her to use art as a vehicle for challenging systems of oppression. Her work consistently explores themes of identity, power, and liberation—human and non-human alike.

In addition to her music career, Kiirstin has appeared on television in Mr. Robot (USA), Hightown (Starz), and Dr. Death (Peacock). She is currently working on her third solo EP with producer Adam Tilzer, Skinny for the Apocalypse, with the lead single “Free Luigi” out now. She is also re-recording her song “She,” originally written in English about her Estonian grandmother fleeing her homeland for the U.S., this time entirely in Estonian. Though she does not speak the language, Kiirstin has been singing with the NY Estonian Mixed Choir for the past two years, deepening her connection to her heritage through music.
