Krystal Kavita Jagoo bears a middle name that means poetry in the language of her ancestors. As a descendant of Indian indentured labourers who came to Trinidad following the abolition of slavery, all her work is in solidarity with Black and Indigenous communities, as grounded in Disability Justice.
