Shakira "Lady Kay" Brunson is a 28-year-old, Westchester Born and Raised,  Writer, Host, and Curator and Spoken word artist. She has been writing since 3rd grade and has been performing since high school. Her debut poetry narrative Man of Your Word was released in the summer of 2021. She has two upcoming children's books in the works. Having performed her poetry across the country for over 10 years Lady Kay is also a prominent spoken word artist in the Poetry community and she is also currently a host of The Rose Garden events. Lady Kay is currently working on several new writing projects besides her books that will accent her aberrant writing style which always boasts amazing reviews. Lady Kay's writing is suspenseful and often features unpopular opinions which leaves readers wanting more.
