Melisa, also known as tell_me_mell on IG is a spoken word artist born and raised in Queens, New York. Her love for Hip-Hop and Wordplay inspired her to start writing at the age of 13. Since then,  her poetry has been filling notebooks for years, and recently, she has begun to share her gift with others. With the innate ability to relate to a wide range of audiences through her experiences with Self Love, Trauma, and her ongoing battle with Breast Cancer,  she has been a much-needed voice of inspiration and perseverance. Melisa helps Curate a team of artists through a platform known as Spokenwordz Entertainment that includes fellow talented poets, authors, and musicians to create a safe space for them to share their stories. You can find 'Mel', who her friends call her,  performing on Open Mics throughout the tri-state area.
