Sarah Uheida is a Libyan-born poet and essayist living in Cape Town. She holds an Honours degree in English Literature and an MA in English Studies (with distinction) from Stellenbosch University, supported by the Margaret McNamara Education Grant. A Miles Morland Foundation Writing Scholar and recipient of the Dan Veach Prize for Young Poets, her work appears in Relations (HarperCollins), We Call to the Eye & the Night (Persea), and journals including The Atlanta Review and New Contrast, with forthcoming work in Asymptote and Spectrum. Her debut collection, Not This Tender (2025), was widely acclaimed. She is currently writing Heiress of Error, a novel-in-fragments that charts desire, language, and feminine interiority.
